When visiting potential homes, it is always wish to be a prepared checklist outlining your needs and wants in a home. It is always good to make notes on any homes you seem interested in, as after viewing dozens of homes it is hard to keep the details straight.

Important things to note when viewing a home are

The exterior condition of the home, how has it been maintained by the owner?Does the home require any major work or renovations - if so, are you prepared for the costs involved to complete the repairs?What is the condition of the other homes in the area - consider the entire neighborhood?Check on the school district (if you will be using it) Check on the taxes on the homeInquire as to why the seller is selling their home
