Comparing cell phone plans, is the first and most important step. Do you want a digital, analog, or dual band phone? Digital phones have clearer quality signal, but often have a limited range. If you do a lot of traveling be sure to check with your calling plan provider that the areas you visit most often will be covered. Analog phones have a much wider area of coverage, however they will not be able to take advantage of the features offered by the digital services. If you get a dual band mode phone you will have the best of both worlds. When it's available it will take advantage of the digital service and all of its features, when it's not you will still be able to make calls.
